Bida Poly Registrar, Alhaji Mohammed Baba Ndana Task Rector on More Achievements

The registrar, Federal Polytechnic Bida, Alhaji Baba Ndana has also charged the Rector of the Institution, Dr Abubakar Abdul Dzukogi to do more, si as to consolidate the achievemenhadmade during his first term in office.

He made this cll during a ceremony to commemorate the end of the Rector's first term of four years, held at the hospitality and Leisure Department of the Polytechnic recently.

Ndana described the Rector as a competent manager who was able to deal with all challenges faced during his first term in office, while expressing confidence that the management team under Dzukogi would be able to overcome more that may come its way with the help of God.

Also speaking, the Bursa of the institution, Mallam Salisu Shehu Usman expressed delight over the Rector's reappointed while describing him as a liberal and tolerant person who had been very go to the entire management team, staff, students, and also passionate about taking the Polytechnic to greater heights.

Similarly, the head of Department of Mathematics, Dr. Gelegele Olarewaju Adebayo advised the rector to be firm in his decisions and urged him to consolidate the gains already recorded by his administration.

"No matter what, when you try to be liberal people will hate you. All he has to do is focus on what he has to attain," he added. On his part, chairman of the occasion and immediate past deputy rector (Academics) of the Polytechnic, Mr. Augustine Oghenejivwe while giving his remarks said he was happy to have worked with the Rector and be a part of the achievements recorded in the Polytechnic.

Oghenejivwe recounted some of the achievements to include affiliation with some prominent universities like the Federal University of Technology, Minna and Kwara State University, Malete to run degree programs, as well as staff development the trainings.

The Deputy Rector whose tenure has expired also confessed that hr would have loved to work with the Rector for another term IG the rules permitted it because the Rules Rector had no regard for laziness and works with everyone irrespective of where they come from.

"Irrespective of where you come from, he will pick you. You can come from Chad and he will pick you, you can come from the south he will pick you, just looking at one thing which is hard work. I wish those at the top of affairs of this country can use this method to pick people to work with them" he said.

While appreciating the Rector for gibing him the honour of working with him, Oghenejivwe pledged his continuous support to the administration.

He further charged heads of Departments, Deans and Directors to also give the administration necessary support and cooperation so as to transform the Polytechnic while praying for successful tenure for the Rector.

 Responding, the Rector Dr Abubakar Abdul Dzukogi, expressed appreciation to the Management team and all who had worked with him for their support and commitment throughout his first tenure.

He commended the immediate past Deputy Rector for his selfless service, saying he would be greatly missed for his personal virtues.

Dzukogi called for support from the staff unions in the Polytechnic, saying no chief executive could succeed without carrying the unions along.
